lynchburg libraryLynchburg officials are considering repealing an annual non-resident fee for access to the Lynchburg Public Library’s system. City Council today, will be discussing the $25 fee for non-city residents to obtain a borrower’s card. According to the News & Advance, council debated nixing the fee back in October of 2012, but chose not to. Non-resident fees total $6,000 and have not been included in the current budget. City staff and a consulting firm recommend council closing the books on the annual non-resident fee.
