A sad day for donut lovers in Lynchburg: Mama Crockett’s Cider Donuts is closing its doors next month. The owner, Frederick Willis, posted a video saying the headquarters on 5th Street will close on May 8th and the four trucks in Virginia and North Carolina will close after they’ve fulfilled some catering obligations. Willis founded Mama Crocketts eight years ago and says even though business is booming, he needs a mental health break. He did have some good news: Mama Crocketts will be back in the fall with just one truck.
On May 14th, Mama Crockett’s will have a “peace out homies” sale of all their equipment and merchandise.
