A Gladstone man faces charges related to abusing a 3-month-old child. According to the Nelson County Sheriff’s office, 41 year old, Kalen Joseph Nielsen, the child’s father, was arrested in Amherst County on Friday and charged with one count of malicious wounding and one count of felony child abuse. Sources say the child is in critical but stable condition at University of Virginia Medical Center.
