A Lynchburg man has been found guilty in the attempted murder and malicious wounding for shooting and injuring a city man last April. 32 year old, Hasan Ibn Sami Abdussalaam fired shots at Jemell Johnson, of Lynchburg from a vehicle—wounding him in the leg. According to media outlets, Johnson had been walking along Virginia Street near the intersection of Florida Avenue at about 2 a.m. April 29 with his girlfriend. Abdussalaam requested a bench trial rather than a jury and did not testify; he was found guilty on all five counts. Sentencing is set for May 21.
