police lineA Lynchburg man has pled guilty for his part in a deadly drive-by shooting. The Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney this morning moved to amend a murder charge against 18 year old, Jhalil Duron Bateman. As part of a plea agreement, Bateman pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact – in the death of Lawrence Maliek Giusto back in June– Bateman is was among eight people charged with the killing Bateman’s cousin, April Bateman, pleaded guilty to murder in December two other shooters, pleaded guilty last month to second-degree murder. Jhalil Bateman is scheduled for sentencing May 20 he faces up to 15 years in prison.
