An Evington man has pleaded guilty to 31 charges related to theft from cars in the Forest area of Bedford County in July. 25 year old, Christopher Michael Powell is charged with 19 felony counts of credit card larceny, four counts of credit card fraud, three counts of grand larceny, one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and four misdemeanor counts of petit larceny. Prosecutors say Powell targeted eight families; stole purses, a wallet and used a number of credit cards—he also took a set of golf clubs. He will be sentenced on March 11.
