A Lynchburg man on Thursday, pleaded guilty to attacking and raping a city woman last spring. Under a plea agreement, 21 year old, Richard Martin-Busher Jr., won’t be prosecuted for burglary and petit larceny charges; but does faces 11 years to life in prison for rape, and strangulation causing bodily injury in connection with the crime that occurred at the victim’s home on Liggates Road in March 2013. Martin-Busher confessed to the rape after being arrested in July for a break-in at Grand Home Furnishing. The Judge found Martin-Busher guilty on all counts and set sentencing hearing for June 25.
