A Rustburg man will spend six months in jail for having inappropriate contact with a minor. 21 year old, Arthur Scott Baker was convicted of one count of carnal knowledge of a minor, which is a Class 4 felon. According to the News & Advance, the offense occurred in the fall of 2012, when Baker was 20 and the child was 14; he was arrested in March 2013. The judge in the case sentenced Baker to 10 years and suspended the time after six months served. He also was ordered to register as a sex offender and not have contact with the victim.
