Peanut Corporation of AmericaA microbiologist with the Food and Drug Administration took the stand yesterday, in the trial of former Peanut Company of America owner Stewart Parnell of Forest and two others. The F-D-A scientist testified that two of 92 environmental swabs done at the company’s Georgia plant tested positive for salmonella. The company is linked to a salmonella outbreak that killed nine people and sickened hundreds more.
