Flagging operations will be used to finish work in the intersection of Memorial Avenue and Langhorne Road. Portions of Park Avenue (between Memorial Avenue and Miller Park Square) will remain closed until completion of the final construction. Motorists should remain alert in the work zones and be aware of ongoing construction activities. All other existing closures and detour routes will remain in place, and motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area.
The Midtown Connector Construction Project began during the summer of 2012 and is expected to be complete in 2016. The $18 million project includes road widening, a roundabout and upgrades to storm sewers, water lines, sanitary sewers and pedestrian facilities.
