After several divided votes on individual items, yesterday, the Campbell County Board of Supervisors eventually approved a priority initiatives list. The list, used to create a budget, was initially presented last month and on Tuesday, 12 suggested line items were clarified and discussed. According to the News & Advance, the board requested that county staff to move forward with preparing the budget based on the priority initiative list and return with the budget and information on how the county and the programs would be affected with lower funding levels, allowing the possibility of reducing taxes.
