LPD lynchburg policeThe mother of two young girls who were tattooed will spend the next year and a half behind bars. Melissa Delp’s trial was set to start Wednesday but, according to media outlets, the judge on Monday sentenced her after she decided to plead guilty to two counts of child abuse. Two other malicious wounding charges were dropped. Delp received four years in prison for each count– with all but 18 months of that time suspended. Alexander Edwards is accused of giving the two girls tattoos. Daniel Janney Charged with trying to remove them with a hot razor blade. Both men have yet to stand trial for their charges.
