Authorities have identified a man who was killed when two boats collided on Smith Mountain Lake. According to the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, 37-year-old Timothy O’Quinn of Botetourt County was a passenger in one of the boats. The department tells media outlets that there were five people on the two boats when they collided Friday night—they were participating in a fishing tournament. Officials say none of the boats’ occupants was wearing a life jacket.
