NAPA Auto Parts has announced that it’s opening a megastore in the Fort Hill Village Shopping Center. The store will sell many of the 500,000 items in NAPA’s inventory, including auto parts, farm and marine supplies, and heavy-duty parts.  The two current NAPA stores on Timberlake Road and Fort Avenue will be combined into the new store. It’s scheduled to open in early May. Liberty University bought the Fort Hill Shopping Center in 2016 and says it wants to make it a destination for businesses and customers.

NAPA to open a new 16,000 SF Store at Fort Hill Village Shopping Center
Lease marks NAPA’s relocation of two local stores and expansion of offerings
LYNCHBURG, VA – Fort Hill Shopping Center has secured a 16,000-square-foot lease that
will be the new home of a NAPA Mega Store.
The store, which is located at 6015 Fort Ave., will open in early May after the company
consolidates two different NAPA locations currently located at 21088 Timberlake Rd. and 2599
Fort Ave.
NAPA has more than 500,000 items in its inventory, which includes everything from automotive
replacement parts, refinishing supplies, automotive accessories, farm and marine supplies, tools,
and equipment, to heavy-duty parts. The new Mega Store in Lynchburg will provide many of
these items.
“It just made sense for us to move our two Lynchburg stores into one large location,” said Wiley
Fogleman, general manager of NAPA’s Lynchburg stores. “Fort Hill Shopping Center is so
centrally located and easily accessible to all the main thoroughfares. The move helps us by
providing a great space for our staff and customers.”
LU Plaza Holdings, LLC, the owners of Fort Hill Shopping Center purchased the property in
2016 and have made significant investments into the property. The addition of NAPA’s Mega
Store was not only a perfect fit for their business but will continue their efforts to make the
center a destination for businesses and customers alike.
“We began our relationship with NAPA by discussing how much space the company would need
for its growth and relocation of two existing stores,” said June Smith, Principal Broker and
Owner of Legacy Realty and Development whose firm leases Fort Hill Shopping Center.
“Following our conversation, we identified a property that made perfect sense for NAPA but will
also benefit the current center and drive more traffic to everyone there.”
NAPA Auto Parts is headquartered in Atlanta, employees about 6,000 individuals, and was
founded in 1925.
