KIDS HAVEN logoFostering resilience in children following a trauma or loss will be the focus of a two day event in Lynchburg that begins tonight.    Kid’s Haven invited a nation expert  to host the two day discussion on helping kids cope with loss. The Dougy Center for Grieving Children and Families is a peer-support program for those who’ve experienced the death of a family member or friend. Founded in 1982 in Oregon, the DougyCenter provides support and training locally, nationally and internationally to individuals and organizations seeking to assist children in grief. A free community talk will be held at 7pm evening at Presbyterian Homes and Family Services. A full-day seminar is planned for Friday. To learn more visit:
