Wintergreen Resort is up for sale–again. The owner of West Virginia’s Greenbriar resort reportedly paid $16.5 million for the Nelson County resort in 2012 and has invested about $12 million in upgrade since. Now, all of the Blue Ridge Mountain resort’s 11,000 acre property, facilities and amenities are listed again—The listing includes the ski slopes, two golf courses and a handful of restaurants; but does not the asking price. Wintergreen is one of the largest private employers in the county, with about 300 year-round, full-time positions. According to the News & Advance, when seasonal winter employees are included, the total approaches about 1,000 employees. Interested parties must fill out a confidentiality agreement online and return it to representatives from the agency.
