Tourists will find it easier to discover major destinations through-out Appomattox County, with the installation of new gateway and way-finding signage. The Appomattox County Supervisors, on Monday, approved placing signs at the gateway, or entrance into the county as well as new markers directing visitors to attraction like the Museum of the Confederacy. The signs are expected to be in place this winter; and the plan is to have the work completed before next April’s Civil War 150th anniversary events. A portion of the project’s expense will be covered by a grant.
