A new trial date will need to be set due to inadmissible testimony in a Campbell County stabbing case. The exact nature of what was said in the courtroom has not been release… but the Judge in the case declared a mistrial earlier this month after a witness gave testimony to the jury the defense called inadmissible; and citing the effects hearing the information would have on the jury, even if advised to disregard. 18 year old, Kyle Lamont Edwards of Madison Heights allegedly stabbed a man and assaulted the man’s son at a party held on Crows Road in Gladys on July 13, 2013. He faces one felony count of malicious wounding, and one count of assault and battery. The new jury trial date has not been announced.
