Make sure you’re up to date on Virginia’s new Voter Photo ID law. As of July 1st voters must have valid identification with a photo when they go to the polls … a current driver’s license, passport, employee or college photo I-D card will work…Lynchburg registrar Carolyn Sherayko (Sher-ray-koh) says if you don’t have any of those they can help: Sherayko says you must be registered to vote before you can apply for a new voter identification card. She says they’ve reached out to various groups in Lynchburg to answer questions about the new voter I-D law … call or stop by the registrar’s office in the DMV building on Oddfellows Road if you still need help.
