Drivers in Bedford County should be prepared for a new traffic pattern at Ole Turnpike Drive, where traffic is still down to one lane in each direction along that portion of Rte 460, but westbound traffic is now using a newly-built lane. Sources say vehicles wider than 12 feet are prohibited along East- 460 though the restriction has been removed westbound. The speed limit in the work zone will remain 35 miles per hour; and drivers are asked to use caution. The project is expected to be finished in December.
