A Lynchburg woman is believed to be the person that fired the fatal shot that killed Lawrence Giusto during a drive by shooting, early Sunday. Prosecutors say two vehicles were involved in the shooting; 22 year old, April Renae Bateman, the eldest of eight suspects arrested admitted being in one of the vehicles, having a 9mm gun and that she fired shots. Sources say an autopsy was completed on Giusto and a 9mm bullet was pulled from his back. Bateman and seven male suspects — four adults and three juveniles — face identical charges. On Thursday, during a bond hearing, the judge ordered Bateman to be held without bond… If found guilty, she faces life in prison plus 23 years.
