A troupe of local tap dancers will be performing in D.C this weekend for the Cherry Blossom Festival Parade. The group of teachers and students from the Amherst Dance Academy leaves on Friday and will be performing on Saturday. This is the third time the Academy has been invited to participate in the Parade. According to the New Era Progress, the academy was sent a link to a choreography video in late February to prepare for the event. Twenty tap dancers, ranging in age from 8 to 34 years, will perform the two-and-a-half-minute routine.
