Authorities say a man recognized as a national marathon-running star, could face prison time for crimes committed while he lived in Lynchburg. 27 year old, Richard Raymond Flynn is suspected of stealing goods from his employer and selling them online– he was booked Monday on five counts of embezzling. Investigators say between 2011 and 2013, he would took the property, estimated at around $5,000, and sold it in online auctions. Flynn was living in South Carolina when a grand jury indicted him on the charges in May; he turned himself in. According to the News & Advance, Glynn qualified for the 2016 Olympic Marathon Trials earlier this year…now he’ll appear in court on August 4th.
