wlni-defaultLynchburg and state health officials are advising some city residents to use boiled tap water or bottled water for safe drinking and cooking. It’s the result of a water line break on U.S. 460 near Falwell Airport affecting¬† Pleasant Valley, Tyreeanna, and U.S. 460 east of the Campbell Avenue interchange. Lynchburg Director of Water Resources Tim Mitchell tells Reporter Andre Whitehead the problem started when a VDOT contractor broke a service line Wednesday evening. He says the order is precautionary:
