Lynchburg Police are looking for two men who robbed a woman as she was seated in her car last night on the 600 block of Fauquier Street. They pointed guns, demanded money and took off on foot. Police are not disclosing how much money have been taken. Police say they have warrants for 24-year-old Antonio Oshay Smith, and they are working to determine the identity of the second suspect.

On 12/11/13 at 1910 hrs, Officers responded to the area of the 600 block of Fauquier Street in reference to a robbery of a person. When officers arrived on the scene, they were met by the adult female victim. The victim reported that two black male suspects dressed in all black, with their faces covered, had approached her while she was seated inside her vehicle. She said both male suspects produced handguns and demanded money. The female was assaulted during the confrontation, and both males fled the scene on foot. The males left with an undisclosed amount of the victim’s property. The female’s injuries were minor in nature, and didn’t require medical attention.
The investigation has revealed the identify one of the suspects. We currently have two warrants for Antonio Oshay Smith Jr, 24 years old, black male, 5’8 and 170 lbs, of Lynchburg (picture attached to press release). The warrants are for robbery, and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Smith should be considered armed and dangerous.
The second suspect is described as a black male, 6-6”4, and thin build, and unknown weight.
We are seeking any additional information concerning this incident, and any information that will assist with the identification of the second suspect.
The incident is under investigation by the Lynchburg Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division.
