Nine arrested for July holdups in Lynchburg; one suspect is 12 years old

Lynchburg Police say nine people are now charged for a series of armed robberies in July, two of them on Euclid Avenue and one on Fillmore street. Two of holdups involved pizza delivery drivers and one was a woman whose car had become disabled. The suspects range in age from 12 to 24, and most of the suspects are minors.

From Lynchburg Police: The Lynchburg Police Department, Criminal Investigations Division has been actively investigating a series of armed robberies that occurred during the month of July. Two of the robberies involved pizza delivery drivers and one involved a female motorist whose vehicle had become disabled on Euclid Ave. The robberies occurred as follows:

July 21, 2016 11:35pm         900 block of Euclid Ave    (pizza delivery)

* * * 8 suspects involved, violent assault of driver

July 30, 2016  1:00am            800 block of Fillmore St    (pizza delivery)

* * * 5 suspects involved, armed robbery

July 30, 2016  4:00pm           700 block of Euclid Ave    (motorist)

* * * 2 suspects involved, armed robbery

 

In two of these robberies a firearm was used. As a result of these ongoing investigations, nine suspects were identified and subsequently arrested or have warrants pending. They are as follows:
