The library at Bedford Hills Elementary School will stay in place despite plans to move it to a mobile unit. School board members voted last month to turn the current library space into three classrooms. But an outcry from the elementary school’s teachers and parents had officials reconsidering this week. After surveying four different options, sources say the school board voted on Tuesday to approve the purchase of a four-classroom mobile unit with bathrooms to provide needed classroom space. School administrators expect to put in the new unit over the summer.
