cvtcOfficials are looking at their options, when it comes to property at Central Virginia Training Center once the facility closes in 2020. During the Amherst County Board of Supervisors’ meeting last week, a resolution was presented which requests the county’s Economic Development Authority join with the Region 2000 Partnership to explore alternative uses for the site in the future. According to the News & Advance, State officials suggested county leaders reach out to legislators with concerns and perform an asset inventory to determine the best use of the property. The resolution, as it currently stands, is set for consideration at the board’s meeting next Tuesday.
