One of the men found guilty of assaulting a man who was found dead in his car is appealing the judge’s decision. Devin Daniel appeared in Pittsylvania County General District Court Tuesday. A judge found him along with Brandon Walker and Corey Holt guilty. Daniel was sentenced to two months in jail, but is appealing. Walker received a one month sentence and Holt will spend five days behind bars. A juvenile was also charged in this case. 19 year old Charles Michael Abbott was found dead in his car after a party in Blairs last August. The Medical Examiner later ruled his gunshot wound was self-inflicted.
