A settlement agreement has been approved in the wrongful death lawsuit against a Bedford woman convicted of killing tow men while she was driving under the influence in April of 2012. 30 year old, Amy Sue Phillips is serving time in prison on manslaughter and DUI charges for the crash on Timberlake Road that killed John Morris Hawkins and Garry “Eddie” Moore. Moore’s mother filed the $1 million suit in September 2012, the same month Phillips was sentenced to four years and one month in prison. Hawkins’ parents, filed a $2 million wrongful death lawsuit last April, it is pending a dismissal review.
