The City of Pamplin on Monday, was officially added to Preservation Virginia’s most Endangered Historic Sites. Being recognized for it’s historical significance will go a long way in promoting the community’s assets, generating funding sources and recruiting people to help do the necessary work. The recommended solution by the organization also incorporates extending the High Bridge Trail. Proponents say the next goal, is to be listed on the National Registrar of Historic Places, which would make any building rehabilitated for commercial use eligible for historic preservation tax credits.
