The Virginia Department of Transportation will be conducting pavement tests involving drilling at two high traffic volume locations in the coming weeks. Testing will begin on Monday evening at 10:00 p.m. and end prior to 6 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Work will begin on Monday, March 23 at the intersection of Timberlake and Waterlick Roads. Monday March 30, work will take place at the intersection of Route 29 and Route 685. The project will involve closing several lanes to traffic. VDOT says the schedule may be changed due to availability of manpower and equipment or weather conditions.
