GavelA Lynchburg man has been sentenced to seven years for a shooting that took place at the James Crossing Apartments in August. 20 year old, Teron William Slaughter, pleaded guilty this week to one count each of malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. According to the News & Advance, Slaughter was scheduled for a jury trial but a plea deal was reached. The victim was grazed in the head after being shot at multiple times; He was treated and released from the hospital without major injury.
