Virginia State Police are investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash in Appomattox County.
The crash occurred Saturday at 9:33 a.m. on Route 26, approximately 1.5 miles south of Route 60. Officials say a 2011 Mazda 6 was traveling northeast on Route 26 when it ran off the right side of the road, struck an embankment and overturned several times before striking a tree.
The driver, Kevin A. Angus, 30, of Gladstone, Va. died at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt. The crash remains under investigation.
