LYNCHBURG POLICE UPDATE: – Over the past 14 hours, Lynchburg Police Department detectives have interviewed multiple individuals with knowledge of last night’s post about a school shooting and have not been able to verify that there was actually a credible threat to any Lynchburg City school.

PREVIOUS RELEASE: LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department is aware of the information about a potential shooting at a local school circulating around the community.We are investigating this information thoroughly to determine its credibility. There will be an increased uniformed presence at both city high schools Tuesday.
