The man convicted of abducting and murdering 17-year-old Alexis Murphy will likely serve the rest of his life behind bars. The judge, on Wednesday upheld the jury’s recommended sentence of two life terms; even going above the guidelines giving Taylor an additional three years on each of the charges, for a total of six years suspended. The additional six years are a provision the judge put in place that in the unlikely instance that Taylor gets released one day, such as under a geriatric release, he would be under supervised probation.
