Prosecutors continue to build their case against Randy Taylor, charged with abducting and killing 17-year-old Alexis Murphy last August. The teen’s cellphone, which was found about 70 feet from Taylor’s camper, was introduced into evidence on Tuesday. An FBI electronics analyst testified that the cell phone was so damaged, that no data could be retrieved.
During day four of the Randy Taylor trial, jurors heard extensive recordings from two interviews between Taylor and investigators. One of those audios– regarding, specifically, Murphy’s whereabouts on Aug. 11–the day of his arrest. Taylor has pleaded not guilty to the charges and has denied any involvement in the disappearance of 17 year old Alexis Murphy. The trial continues today with prosecutors expected to call final witnesses for the commonwealth.
