During the third day of the trial of Randy Allen Taylor, accused of abducting and killing 17-year-old Alexis Murphy, a forensic examiner of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, testified that the teenager was “a major contributor” to the blood on the shirt. Media outlets report the blood has a mixture of male and female DNA. Taylor could be seen wearing the shirt on surveillance video from the Liberty gas station in Lovingston on Aug. 3 — the last place Alexis was seen.
A blood stained shirt and other items linking missing 17 year old Alexis Murphy to Randy Taylor’s camper near Lovingston were the subject of testimony from FBI investigators on Monday. 48 year old Taylor has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, murder in commission of abduction and abduction with intent to defile in connection with Alexis’ disappearance. The case continues today with more prosecutors’ evidence expected.
