A recommendation to improve the Route 29 corridor in the Charlottesville area was made to the Commonwealth Transportation Board on Tuesday. An advisory panel was formed to provide input on solutions regarding mobility along and congestion within the corridor.  The panel’s facilitator, developed recommendations based on discussions and input from four panel meetings that were open to the public. They include adding additional Amtrak train service between Lynchburg and Washington, D.C.– The CTB will consider the proposal in the annual update of the Six-Year Improvement Program, which will be on the agenda at the June 17 meeting.
