A House of Delegates committee this morning decided red-light cameras can still be used by Virginia localities. The House Transportation Committee rejected a bill that would have repealed the bill on civil-liberties grounds. Supporters of the bill say the cameras, which photograph cars as they run red lights, increase rear-end collisions.
