Kroger news release: Kroger has started a $3.2 million renovation of its store at 4119 Boonsboro Road in Lynchburg. In addition to a new décor and paint, the store will have a new, larger pharmacy, expanded produce, meat/seafood and natural foods sections. The wine shop also will be upgraded. All existing check lanes will be replaced and two new self-service lanes will be added. “This will be a major upgrade of our store that will enhance the shopping experience of our customers and increase the selection of items that our customers prefer,” said David Read, manager. The renovation is expected to be completed in late summer. The store is approximately 48,500 square feet and last was remodeled in 2007.
