The Campbell County Board of Supervisors earlier this month decided not to include county water issues in its long-term financial planning. But Evington residents concerned that the taps will once again run dry are still expressing their desires for a reliable water source. The plans to extend the waterline were put on hold when Supervisors voted to suspend the efforts in support of the option to install a public water line with fire hydrants in the Evington community. Though County officials said they would reexamine the proposal if circumstances changed, including more commitments from more residents or alternate funding sources.
