Salaries have been decreased for The Appomattox County School Board on Thursday, voted to reduce its annual compensation. According to the News & Advance, the measure is liken to a decision made by the Board of Supervisors last month; in which salaries were reduced by 20 percent as a way to save money and help reduce the 540-thousand dollar deficit the county faces. Policy requires the School Board’s motion go before Supervisors at the next meeting.
