2013 has been the year of leaving nothing to chance when it comes to protecting schoolchildren in districts across the region.  Officials from Bedford and FranklinCounty schools work closely with law enforcement to offer constant surveillance of school campuses as well as offer preventative measures for students, faculty, and staff of various schools to stay safe during a crisis.  One of the newest features added in both school districts during the past year has been the installation of security cameras. In BedfordCounty, all three high schools and middle schools have a resource officer on sight during school hours.
