Amherst officials have announced a second medical facility in the town. The property will be leased to Horizon Behavioral Health for the purposes of providing outpatient counseling services to children and adults. According to the News & Advance, once construction is complete sometime in the first quarter of next year, the building will be similar to an existing Horizon facility in the town of Bedford. Last month, Centra Health announced plans for an ambulatory care facility within the town; that project is slated for completion in 2016.
