Senator Newman to co-chair Youngkin’s transition team

Lynchburg Republican State Senator Steve Newman will co-chair Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin’s transition team, along with former Virginia  education secretary Kay Coles James.  Local delegate Kathy Byron is also on the team.    Youngkin says the 15-member team represents “various backgrounds—business owners, law enforcement officers, veterans, healthcare providers, and most importantly, parents—who will bring an array of experience and fresh perspectives” when he takes office early next year.
