From the City of Lynchburg: Beginning Monday, April 13 and continuing for several days, sewer repair work will make it necessary to close the left lane of Main Street, between Ninth and Tenth Streets. Additionally, Ninth Street, (from Main and Church Streets) will be closed to two way traffic. Motorists will be able to access Ninth Street from Church Street. The sewer repair work involves a 15-ft. excavation at the corner of Ninth and Main Streets, near Bowen Jewelry. The lane closures are necessary for safety purposes due to the nature of the work and depth of the excavation.
