Lynchburg Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Sunday before 11pm at the Marathon gas station on 6015 Fort Avenue.  Two men wearing masks entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money and then ran away with an undisclosed amount of money.  One suspect was only wearing socks with no shoes. Anyone with information is asked to contact the store or Lynchburg Police.

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) is investigating an armed robbery that occurred earlier this week at the Marathon gas station located at 6015 Fort Avenue. 

On April 17, 2022, at 10:56 p.m., officers responded to the business when an employee reported that two males had entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money. Both of the suspects were wearing masks and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
