Troopers will provide stationary and roving patrols across Virginia’s roads looking for impaired drivers. The stepped-up law enforcement operations are part of the nationwide Drive to Save Lives campaign. Operation (C.A.R.E.) is also being implemented over the holiday; national program designed to reduce crashes, fatalities and injuries caused by speeding and failure to use occupant restraints. The increased visibility and traffic enforcement efforts began at 12:01 this morning and will continuing through midnight Monday.
