A Lynchburg man has been sentenced to six years in prison for the assault and battery of two Nelson County law enforcement officers last summer. 59 year old, Michael Griffen Warwick was convicted on charges in February; and last week received three years apiece for the two convictions of assault and battery of an officer. Warwick was arrested following an incident at the Lovingston Health & Rehabilitative Center where he was a patient in August 2013. Sources say he become “unruly and violent” toward the staff; and even more combative with the responding deputies. On Friday, the Defense said an appeal is forthcoming.
